Exploring the Weather Phenomenon: Europe Under Persistent Storms and Chilly Cold

Beloved family and friends in Europe, how's the situation there? We're currently experiencing continuous storms, mild yet persistent rain, and flooding. Climate change is certainly the reason for these unusual weather conditions.

Weather Update from London- Essex

London- Essex is seeing a fairly cool day, with the temperature at 14°C (57.2°F) and 10% humidity. There's a slight chance of rain tonight. Do bring an umbrella if you're planning to venture out.

For those who are particularly sensitive to the weather, tonight's low could drop to -7°C plus a ten mile per hour wind-chill factor, making it quite chilly far from the comfort of your home.

The Arrival of Winter Fog

Today marks the first foggy winter morning in my area. Prior to today, the weather had been mostly sunny. However, today woke up to a dense fog. The photos at 9:30 am show a scene of winter morning mystery and wonder as I went to work. My kids were not keen to leave their beds today. My little one glanced out the window at 7:15 am and got into a revolutionary mode, wanting to become the principal and allow kids to bring their blankets to school. But she had to comply when she realized she would need to study a lot to achieve that goal.

This kind of weather is expected to continue until the end of January. It's the perfect time to enjoy traditional winter delicacies such as jaggery dry fruit pinnis, endless tea or coffee, sarson ka saag, and a lot of gajar ka halwa.

Cyclone Mandous in Bengaluru

The weather forecast for Bengaluru indicates a shift in weather patterns. Due to cyclone Mandous, the city has experienced moderate to heavy rainfall over the last 3-4 days. The temperature in Bengaluru has been around 18-22°C, but it is quite chilly due to the arrival of winter. Rain has made it difficult to travel outside, and in some parts of the city, the water has almost blocked vehicle movement.

The IMD (India Meteorological Department) has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru and other parts of southern Karnataka for the next three days. This indicates that the situation is likely to continue and improve slowly.

Some major cities in India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, have been significantly affected by Cyclone Mandous, along with the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Goa, and Maharashtra.
